Lateral Files
Lateral files are shelf files containing collections of directories, catalogs, reports and brochures.
Vertical Files
Vertical files are filing cabinets containing collections of pamphlets, newsletters, clippings, and other items on a wide range of topics. Materials are arranged alphabetically by subject, and there may be some duplication between materials in vertical files and in othe parts of the university archives. Conversely, some of the materials supplement those in other archives. [VF22, 24, 26 & 28]
