Scope and Content

An on-line only collection of photographs taken by William Mungo, and postcards he gathered, during his tour of duty from Hawaii to the Philippines within the years of 1939 and 1940. Images show the local landscape, the indigenous peoples of the Islands, and the 31st U.S Infantry, Company H. Also included are images of some undated photographs of the Mungo's family.
